Thirty-six candidates have expressed interest in running for the eight vacant Bulawayo council seats following the recent recalls.
The candidates successfully submitted their papers at the nomination court that sat at the Bulawayo City Council Chambers (BCC) on Tuesday.
Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC), which had eight of its councillors recalled, fielded double candidates in five of the wards.
Only nine of the 36 candidates are female.
