Claim: A link circulating on social media claimed that the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) is providing cash assistance.
“Through the questionnaire, you will have a chance to get US$800.00,” read the post.

Responding in a statement to questions sent by CITE, WFP said the organisation does not offer financial rewards in exchange for participation in surveys.
“The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) has taken note of a fraudulent notice and phishing website claiming to offer cash assistance to individuals who complete an online questionnaire. WFP does not offer financial rewards in exchange for participation in surveys,” said WFP.
WFP urged members of the public to exercise extreme caution and warned against providing personal information to suspicious websites.
