By-elections were held in several wards and constituencies in five provinces on November 11, 2023.
Five Zanu PF candidates won local authority seats in Hurungwe – Mashonaland West, Vungu in Midlands, Lupane and Nkayi in Matabaleland North, and a constituency seat in Gutu West in Masvingo.
Only one candidate from the opposition Citizens Coalition for Change was elected to the Kusile Rural District Council in Lupane, Matabeleland North.
Of the five candidates who contested in the by-elections, four were male and one was female.
