The government this week eased restrictions on the wearing of face masks citing a significant decrease in the Covid-19 cases in the country.
Announcing the measures in Harare Tuesday, during a post-cabinet media briefing in the capital, Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Minister, Monica Mutsvangwa urged all provinces to continue intensifying Covid-19 vaccination activities in order for the nation to achieve herd immunity.
Below is what you need to know about the new measures:
Who is exempted from wearing face masks?
· Those who have been fully vaccinated with one of the World Health Organisation (WHO) recommended vaccines.
Where and when are they exempted from the mandatory wearing of face masks?
· That only applies to outdoor public places.
What about in other places?
· All Zimbabweans whether vaccinated or not still have to wear face masks at indoor public places and on public transport.
Additional requirements for those going about without masks
· They should always carry their vaccination cards as proof that they are fully vaccinated.
