A poster purportedly from Zanu PF, circulating on social media, claimed that the ruling party was charging a whopping $2.2 million to seat next to President Emmerson Mnangagwa at the party’s valentine dinner.
Those who wish to seat next to Vice President were expected to fork US$2.1 million while a seat next to Ministry of Information and Publicity permanent secretary Ndavaningi ‘Nick’ Mangwana and Deputy Chief Secretary to the Cabinet George Charamba would cost US$95 000.
A seat next to Victor Matemadanda and other politburo members would cost US$7 500
The venue and date for the dinner party were not stated on the poster.
Mangwana dismissed the poster as false on his Twitter account adding, “I am not your tasty eye candy. Spend your Valentines with yours.”
