AN online publication, news.pindula.co.zw on June 24 published a story under the headline: ‘No COVID-19 Vaccination, No Table’, Chiwenga Warns Informal Traders.

Chiwenga is quoted as saying: “With the continued rise in Covid-19 cases, we want full cooperation from everyone. We will also move into marketplaces like Mbare in Harare and eRenkini in Bulawayo. No vaccination, no table. Protect your customers by getting vaccinated.
In an article headlined: “Vendors demand to be prioritised during vaccination, https://www.newsday.co.zw/2021/07/vendors-demand-to-be-prioritised-during-vaccination/ the NewsDay of July 2, confirms that Vice President Constantino Chiwenga indeed said unvaccinated vendors would not be allowed to trade.

In the same story Chiwenga called for full cooperation from all Zimbabweans to get vaccinated for Covid-19 in light of the continued surge in positive cases across the country.
The government is intensifying its vaccination drive coupled with threats of those citizens who are still reluctant to be vaccinated.
