Where to get Covid-19 booster shots in Bulawayo

The Zimbabwean government announced on 16 August 2022 that people who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 no longer need to wear face masks in public places.

This came after the cabinet resolved that those who have received three doses of the WHO-recommended vaccines are exempted from the mandatory wearing of face masks in outdoor public places but should however wear masks in indoor public places and in public transport.

Some residents have been asking where they can get their booster shots in Bulawayo.

Bulawayo Provincial Medical Director (PMD), Dr Maphios Siamuchembu said residents can access third jabs in 19 Municipal clinics and these are:

1)      Mzilikazi

2)      Magwegwe

3)      Pumula

4)      Njube

5)      Nkulumane

6)      Nketa

7)      Khami road clinic

8)      Entumbane

9)      Princess Margaret Rose

10)   Emakhandeni

11)  CowdrayPark

12)   Pumula South

13)   Luveve

14)  Maqhawe

15)  Tshabalala

16)  Pelandaba

17)  Northern suburbs

18)  E.F Watson

19)  Dr Shennan Clinic

Residents can also access the booster shots at United Bulawayo Hospitals, Mpilo Central Hospital, Ekusileni, Ingutsheni and Mater Dei Hospital.

“Right now, there is a vaccination blitz going on, so there are outreach points as well in various places across the city. There are teams going door to door even doing covid-19 vaccination together with measles and rubella,” said Dr Siamuchembu.
