Contacted for a comment, ZUPCO Southern division operation manager, Tineyi Rwasoka said he was not aware of the poster circulate

“We are not aware of that poster which is doing rounds on social media and in any facts, we don’t circulate our information through social media,” said Rwasoka.

However, Madangwa said he is in a meeting.

Background. ZUPCO, in partnership with NMB Bank, CBZ Bank and Harare Institute of Technology introduced the tap card payment system last year in January for the convenience of its passengers struggling to get cash from banks. The bus fleet is currently the only mode of transport used by the public since the implementation of the lockdown. CITE has however observed that priority is given to passengers with tap cards especially from the Central Business Center to their residential areas.
