Claim: Zimbabweans can now apply online for e-passports, birth certificates and national identification cards.
“This online application system is capable of serving 20 people every 20 minutes,” claimed the application.
According to the application, applicants using the online portal similarly pay $120 for an ordinary passport and $220 for an emergency one.
“When you Zimbabwean e-passport is ready, it will be shipped to your country of residence,” read the claim.
Payments methods written are VISA card, master card, Eco cash and Instant EFT.
The application also demands applicants to submit all required documents.
Minister of Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage Kazembe Kazembe said it is fake when contacted for a comment.
“That is very fake, those are fraudsters trying to steal money from Zimbabweans,” said Kazembe.
