Pashor Raphael Sibanda, the recalled Cowdray Park Member of Parliament, has denied joining the team led by self-proclaimed interim secretary general of the Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) Sengezo Tshabangu.
This comes after social media was flooded with images of Sibanda seen with certain individuals who are believed to be working with Tshabangu, sparking speculation that Sibanda has also joined them.
In a press statement released on Wednesday, Sibanda dismissed the claims.
“It has come to my attention that there are pictures circulating on social media purporting that I have joined team Tshabangu. In fact, the circulating images were taken at a social gathering that I attended on January 1, 2023 at a Political Talk Podium,” said the former MP.
According to Sibanda, Political Talk Podium is a group of politicians across political divide, civil society leaders, business people who seek to champion the development of Matabeleland.
Sibanda maintained he remains a member and leader under CCC led by Nelson Chamisa.
“For the record, I want to put it clear without fear or favor that I haven’t joined the so-called “Team Tshabangu” or any team. I remain a member and leader in the Citizens Coalition for Change led by President Advocate Nelson Chamisa. Until victory!” Sibanda said.
